Check-in on the Base #3: Bryce Lewis, Saskatchewan Country Guitar
post-hiatus, the discipline of Lent and Bryce's debut release
Howdy Readers,
I’ve been riffing on the microphone the last few weeks as casual briefings to paid subscribers. I have found that by publicly working away at uncomfortable areas in my life a confidence tends to develop and believe it or not, unrehearsed speaking into a microphone is one of those challenges. So, in an attempt to kill a couple birds, “Check-in on the Base” is an update on my pursuits while striving to avoid vocal disfluencies in real-time.
This one in particular is a little revealing but what is trust without transparency? It also shines some light on a massive achievement by my right-hand man, Bryce Lewis. You all have seen him by my side on stage for over a decade and be damned if he didn’t decide to go get a record deal. Our camp couldn’t be prouder. A mighty congrats to him and his new cohorts, La Honda Records. Be sure to check out the sweet promo video little jack put together below.
As always, thank you to those that have the resources to support through a subscription tier. I will continue to share ideas and pieces at all levels while attempting to provide valued content. If you have the means, it goes a long ways.
Much love,
BB
