Check-in on the Base #8: The Passing of my Father
a devastating loss and where I'm at
My friends,
With your cherished support, I am heartbroken yet obligated to sit down and record an update in regards to the events over the last couple weeks. It is lengthier than usual and rather saturated with emotion. My father has unexpectedly passed following an accident just off the farm and once again, I’m am forced into the responsibility of processing. Considering the role this platform played following the death of my Uncle John, I feel hesitant in bombarding my readers with this theme that seems to be presenting itself in my life. But what else am I supposed to do?
I had a handful of stories I would share from onstage about Dad over the years and in the chance he was seated among the crowd, I always singled him out. He would wave and beam. It makes me want to share his eulogy and some thoughts on his life.
I’m going to leave it at this for now.
