Resolution: how clear is the coming year?
The clichéd "resolution" tends to fall short for the majority as it is adopted with the definition of resolving. I use the definition of clarity. How clear can I envision the next 12 months?
I appreciate a new guitar, I anticipate a new album, I acknowledge a new space, and I foresee a new year. All things fresh that I get to beat up, hustle off, reconfigure, and make my own. In themselves, they are allotted as representations of the invaluable—tools to fortify well-being and, ultimately, relationships—but the latter renders its own unique excitement in my heart. The new year offers a few hundred days in a grid that I authorize myself to reverse engineer.
The clichéd "resolution" tends to fall short for the majority as it is adopted with the definition of resolving: finding a solution to an ongoing issue, with the expectation that because a calendar year turns, this will be the round in which it is configured. I use the definition of clarity. How clear can I envision the next 12 months?
What is the resolution of this coming year?
Of all the virtues I seek to strengthen, discernment may top the list—the ability to comprehend the obscure. What could be more complex than perceiving something from "nothing" and attempting to materialize it with precision? By repeatedly engaging with the unknown, a trust is developed. For me, it's become a positive feedback cycle with the Divine. I mean, they call Him the Creator, and we create—seems like a pretty favored vocation.
In that trust, I have no choice but to act on the most out-of-the-box callings I've experienced, and with this authority, I declare 2025 my most abundant and fulfilling year to date.
Discernment, astute. Resolution, crystal clear.
