It was ill received from a place of ignorance. We all have the capacity to challenge our conditioning, belief structures and opinions from a place of, at the very least, curiosity. From there we are initiated into understanding...regardless as to whether another's actions align with the change we want to see in the world. Personally, I can't see how Tristen's courage could be seen anyway but inspiring. He changed me and for that I'm grateful.
And whoops…not inhibitors!! Inhabiters! Those are two totally different things! Not to mention a cringey mistake. I know it wasn’t intentional but I appreciate the prompt to edit 👍
Actually, I thought "inhibitors" was intentional, as it could be argued that regardless of the ultimate outcome, all Homo sapiens inhibit the natural world one way or another. :-)
Well I appreciate the trust in my keen approach to language but this one was an oversight. That said, I can see the phrase having some intentional usage down the line.
Thank you for this story. I remember the walk and how ill received Tristin was.. my support waned as well.

Hey, Blake —> Excellent writing, as usual. Even with AI assistance, I can't write this well! I especially enjoyed . . .
• "The fridge was full, rent was free and a tractor was waiting."
• "I couldn’t handle the monotony in my youth but nearing my forties it provided a song that would lock me into the task."
• "the original inhibitors of the land"
Thank you kindly!
